The 1% for Care Programme: Médiaperformances Selects Eight Winners for Its First Call for Projects

Paris, 5 September 2024 – Launched last February by Médiaperformances, the call for projects to help combat food insecurity and encourage responsible consumption for everyone has strongly mobilised the sector’s players.
Of the 72 applications submitted and studied by the “1% for Care” selection committee, eight projects have been selected and will receive financial support.
Some of them will also receive support in the skills needed to roll out their project from Médiaperformances professionals.
Historically committed to fighting food insecurity and encouraging responsible consumption, Médiaperformances has spent this winter bringing all its actions into a single scheme called “1% for Care”.
Under this initiative, the advertising network devotes 1% of its turnover to its social commitments and has just announced the winners of its first call for projects.
The selection committee, made up of Rémy Gérin, Chairman of Médiaperformances, Claire Koralewski, Managing Director, three board members, four company CSR coordinators and the CSR team, selected eight projects:
- 1 Cabas pour 1 Étudiant, an association and mutual aid platform offering groceries to underprivileged students.
Médiaperformances’ help: financial contribution to the opening of the Paris branch.
- Le Filon, a daytime shelter for isolated, sheltered or homeless women.
Médiaperformances’ help: funding for a nutrition training programme and cooking classes.
- Refugee food, a civic initiative aimed at changing how refugees are viewed and facilitating their integration into the catering industry.
Médiaperformances’ help: financial support for the Cantine des Arbustes – Paris 14 (social integration kitchen and restaurant).
- Oasis d’amour, a humanitarian association which has been fighting against all forms of exclusion in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region through a variety of actions, including food aid, since 2020.
Médiaperformances’ help: financial support for the opening of a 1,800 m2 social and community supermarket coupled with a training platform for retail professions.
- Joint project in the La Défense area involving three associations: La Maison de l’Amitié (daytime shelter for the homeless), la Salle à Manger (solidarity restaurant), Le Chaînon Manquant (food collection in La Défense company canteens).
Médiaperformances provides funding for the management and coordination ecosystem between the three associations.
Le Chaînon Manquant collects the food, redistributes it to Salle à Manger for meal preparation and provides processed products to Maison de l’Amitié.
- ANDES, a network of over 600 social and community grocery stores.
Médiaperformances’ help: funding and business expertise to create a new visual identity for social and community grocery stores.
- Programme Malin, a social innovation project designed to improve the nutritional situation of children aged 0-3 and their families, particularly those in difficulty.
Médiaperformances’ help: funding and business expertise to help the association adopt digital technologies, such as an interactive chatbot, digital discount vouchers for families, etc.
- En Vérité, a collective of brands working for greater food transparency
Médiaperformances provides funding and business expertise for the collective’s communications projects.
